EAA's Eagle Flights program provides a way for prospective pilots to experience personal aviation at no cost thanks to EAA Chapter 2's volunteer pilots. The flight is a hands-on introduction to private aviation and what it is like to fly an airplane.
Unlike Young Eagles, Eagle Flights are provided as a one-on-one experience. It is more than just a free airplane ride as it is exclusively offered to adults (18 and over) who are seriously interested in aviation and learning to fly. The Eagle Flight will feature a full range of activities required for flying a private aircraft, including pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight activities.
After the flight, the volunteer pilot will answer any questions regarding the flight and becoming a pilot. In addition, the Eagle Flight participant will receive a free 6-month membership to EAA.
For more information about EAA's Eagle Flights program, please visit the official Eagle Flights page. If you are interested in becoming a pilot and taking an Eagle Flight, please send us a message via the Contact Us page or, preferably, visit us at our next meeting or event. We'd love to welcome you into the wonderful aviation community!
